Vanes Martirosyan fought and beat Jorge Michi Munoz by TKO in round three of scheduled ten at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada on February 7, 2008. Munoz was down in round one and took a knee in round three before referee Kenny Bayless had seen enough stopping the bout at 2:20 of the 3rd round. Martirosyan, the Armenian Nightmare was coming off a 6-round unanimous decision victory over tough Clarence Taylor on January 4, 2008 in Los Angeles in front of a throng of Armenian fans. Ringside Las Vegas: On November 18, 2006, Martirosyan, fighting on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs Erik Morales III at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, Martirosyan beats Edgar Reyes by 4th round TKO after Reyes retired on his stool.

Martirosyan, fighting on the Arce-Ler undercard at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, on January 27, 2007 stopped Tarzone Washington in the 2nd round winning by TKO.

On April 27, 2007 at the Grand Plaza Hotel in Houston, Texas, Martirosyan beats Nelson Estupinanon by 2nd round TKO. Martirosyan, suffering his first knockdown proved he can rally after a knockdown, then score a knockdown of his own and go on to win the fight.

Two months later on June 29, 2007 Martirosyan beat Alberto Mercedes by 7th round TKO at the Cliff Castle Casino in Camp Verde, Arizona.

Martirosyan dispatched Dan Wallace in just 94 seconds at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas on December 20, 2007. Martirosyan, KO'd Wallace, who was coming off a loss to undefeated Pawel Wolak with a huge right. In Martirosyan's previous bout at The Joint on October 4, 2007, he shut out Patrick Thompson scoring a 6-round unanimous decision. That was following the shellacking Martirosyan gave Alexis Divison on August 30, 2007 in Houston. Martirosyan won by RTD after Divison remained on his stool at the start of round three.
