Roman Karmazin beat NABA Middleweight Champion Colombian Dionisio Miranda (20-5-2, 18 KOs) by 10th round KO in an IBF Middleweight Title Eliminator fight on Friday, January 8, 2010 at Civic Auditorium, Glendale, California. In round ten Karmazin sent Miranda to the canvas with a right. Miranda beat the count but Karmazin sent him back to the canvas for a second time with a right prompting referee James Jen-Kin to stop the fight at 2:34. Karmazin headlined the fightcard televised live on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights promoted by Kahren Harutyunyan of Art of Boxing Promotions and Steve Bash of Bash Boxing.
In his previous Karmazin beat Brazilian Luiz Augusto Dos Santos (24-16-0, 20 KOs) by 4th round TKO on Saturday, May 9, 2009 at the Stadium Khadjimukan in Chimkent, Kazakhstan. Dos Santos corner threw in the towel. This was Karmazin's third fight at middleweight after moving up from light middleweight due to difficulties making 154 lbs which he had fought at since he was 21 years old. It was also Karmazin first time fighting in Kazakhstan where he lived for a number of years.

Roman "Made in Hell" Karmazin
Roman Karmazin, from Russia, fighting out of Wild Card Boxing Club in Hollywood, California, trained by Freddie Roach and Boris Zykanov is capable of fighting any style opponent. Karmazin is relentless in the ring. He's a straight ahead boxer/puncher with a powerful left hook who is also a good counter puncher and can deliver devastating body blows.
On July 14, 2005 Karmazin won a shockingly easy 12-round decision in one of the major upsets of the year taking away the IBF light middleweight title from Kassim Ouma. Karmazin sent Ouma to the canvas twice in round three. April 2, 2005 Karmazin beat Keith Holmes by a 12-round majority decision in an IBF light middleweight title eliminator bout setting the stage for his title fight with Ouma.
In his first defense on July 8, 2006 Karmazin lost his IBF light middleweight title to Cory Spinks by a 12-round controversial majority decision in Saint Louis, Missouri, Spinks' home town. It was felt by many that Karmanzin won the fight or at least pulled a draw. It was Karmazin's only loss since 2002 when he fought and lost in yet again another controversial decision to Javier Castillejo in Castillejo's home town of Madrid, Spain. Coming off his loss to tricky Cory Spinks, Karmazin improved his record beating James Obede Toney by a 4th round KO at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida on January 6, 2007.
On November 23, 2007 in a bout on the Vargas-Mayorga undercard at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, Karmazin beat Alejandro Garcia by way of 3rd round knockout. Karmazin dropped the former light middleweight champion Garcia in round one and KOd him in round three with body shots. In addition to his win Karmazin captured the vacant WBA Inter-Continental light middleweight title.
Karmazin lost by an upset 10th round knockout to Alex Bunema in an undercard bout on the Trinidad-Jones card at Madison Square Garden in New York on Saturday, January 19, 2008. Bunema, who had won his last two fights by knockout put Karmazin down twice in round ten capturing the WBA Inter-Continental light middleweight title. At the time of stoppage Karmazin was ahead on all three judge's scorecards.
Karmazin beat former light middleweight champion Bronco McKart (51-9-1, 31 KOs) by 12-round unanimous decision on Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Hollywood Park Casino in Inglewood, California. Scores were 119-109, 118-110 and 117-111 for Karmazin. In addition to his victory Karmazin picked up the vacant NABF Middleweight Title. The fightcard was promoted by Kahren Harutyunyan of Art of Boxing Promotions. It was the first boxing show hosted by Hollywood Park Casino since 2002.
On Saturday, March 21, 2009 at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills, California, Karmazin beat Antwun Echols (31-10-4, 27 KOs) by 7th round TKO successfully defending his NABF Middleweight Title for the first time. Karmazin was down in round five but came back strong in the next two rounds stopping Echols at 1:52 of round seven with an accumulation of punches.
