Robert Guerrero beat Cuban Joel Casamayor (37-5-1, 22 KOs) by 10-round unanimous decision in a light welterweight fight on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada. Scores were 98-89, 98-89 and 97-90. Casamajor was down in round two and also lost a point holding. Guerrero was knocked down in the final minutes of round ten. Casamayor vs Guerrero took place on the Juan Manuel Marquez vs Juan Diaz II undercard promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Marquez Boxing Promotions and aired live on HBO PPV.

Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero
Ringside Los Angeles: Robert Guerrero took the IBF World featherweight title away from Erik Aiken in a bout that was on the undercard of the Toney vs Peter fight at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on September 2, 2006. Guerrero dominated Aiken throughout the fight. Infighting, Guerrero crowded Aiken nailing him with hard body shots that were clearly affecting Aiken. Aiken was simply outgunned by Guerrero. After the 8th round Aiken did not come out of the corner giving Guerrero a 9th round win and belt by TKO.
Ringside Las Vegas: On November 4, 2006 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada Robert Guerrero lost his IBF World featherweight title to Orlando Salido by a 12 round unanimous decision. Salido was quicker and repeatidly nailed Guerrero who seemed sluggish and just didn't seem to have an answer for Salido. In a post fight urinalysis Salido ended up testing positive for steroids and was stripped of the title.
Robert Guerrero, given a shot at the vacant IBF featherweight title by the IBF after Salido was stripped of it recaptured the IBF featherweight title after beating Spend Abazi by a 9th round TKO on February 23, 2007 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
On November 3, 2007 at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona, Robert Guerrero took care of business in less than a minute stopping Martin Honorio in the 1st round. Honorio, struck by a solid punch landed on his back hard with his head bouncing off the canvas. Although Honorio made it up at the count of eight his legs were gone and referee Tony Weeks waived off the fight at 56 seconds of round one.
Robert Guerrero made his second successful IBF featherweight title defense KOing Jason Litzau at 2:25 of round eight on Friday, February 29, 2008 at the Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino in Lemoore, California. Guerrero sent Litzau down to the canvas twice in round eight leaving him on his back the second time unabe to raise on steady legs.
Fighting for the first time in eleven months Robert Guerrero beat challenger Edel Ruiz (31-22-4, 22 KOs) of Los Mochis, Mexico by 1st round TKO on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Guerrero hit Ruiz with a left hook to the body putting an end to the fight in 43 seconds.
Robert Guerrero fought undefeated challenger Daud Cino Yordan (23-0-0, 17 KOs) of Indonesia in a super featherweight fight on Saturday, March 7, 2009 at The Tank at HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. The fight ended at 1:47 of round two when Guerrero told the ring doctor he could not see due to a cut over his right eye from an accidential headbutt. The doctor's body language indicated that he did not think the cut was a fight stopping cut but since Guerrero stated he could not see the referee stopped the fight anyway. The fight was then declared a no decision.
Robert Guerrero beat veteran boxer Efren Hinojosa (30-6-1, 17 KOs) of Lakeside, California by 8th round TKO on Friday, June 12, 2009 at HP Pavilion in San Jose, California on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights. Hinojosa, who took the fight on late notice was unable to continue due to injuries so the fight was stopped during the break after the 8th round. Guerrero suffered a cut again this time out and felt that he had redeemed himself in his fan's eyes by fighting through it.
Robert Guerrero beat South African Malcolm Klassen (24-5-2, 16 KOs) by 12-round unanimous decision on Saturday, August 22, 2009 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. Scores were 117-111, 116-113 and 116-112. In addition to his victory Guerrero won the IBF super featherweight title. The fight took place on the undercard of Diaz vs Malignaggi. Guerrero fought well against Klassen but it is hard to forget his fight against Daud Yordan when he quit because he got cut over the eye.
On Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Tropicana in Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert Guerrero beat Argentinian Roberto David Arrieta (35-16-4, 17 KOs) by 8th round TKO in a lightweight bout. Guerrero dropped Arrieta in the 2nd, 3rd and 8th rounds until referee Jay Nady called a halt to the bout at 0:29 of round eight. Guerrero vs Arrieta headlined the Golden Boy Promotions fight card that was televised live on Telefutura.
