Rob Calloway, the All-American Prizefighter lost by 1st round TKO to Shannon Briggs (51-5-1, 45 KOs) on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Norfolk Scope Arena in Norfolk, Virginia. Rob Calloway having been in the ring with heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman, Ruslan Chagaev and Jameel McCline was always a smaller sized heavyweight. After losing to McCline in 2006 Calloway realized his chances at winning a world title were better at cruiserweight. But he couldn't get a fight so Calloway once again moved back up to heavyweight.

On Friday, August 10, 2007 at the Expo Center in Springfield, Missouri in a fight aired live on ESPN Friday Night Fights, Calloway unable to secure a fight at cruiserweight pulled off an upset beating heavyweight Terry Smith by a 10-round unanimous decision. It was a real victory for Calloway since Smith is a big, strong heavyweight weighting in at 223 pounds.

Moving back down to cruiserweight on Saturday, October 6, 2007 Calloway beat Galen "Bad Boy" Brown by a 4th round TKO victory capturing the vacant WBC Continental Americas, IBF International and NABA cruiserweight titles. Calloway showed exceptional power fighting at cruiserweight.

In a tune up fight in front of a hometown crowd on Saturday, February 23, 2008 at the Civic Arena in Saint Joseph, Missouri, Calloway turned southpaw dropping opponent Matt Gockel twice in round one went on to finish him off with a barrage of punches at 1:24 of round two. After the fight Calloway announced that he wanted to fight Jonathon Banks who is trained by Emanuel Steward. Banks just beat Imamu Mayfield by 1st round knockout in a fight on the Klitschko-Ibragamov at Madison Square Garden.

On Saturday, March 15, 2008 at the Days Inn in Allentown, Pennsylvania the immortal Rob Calloway beat previously undefeated cruiserweight Juan Carlos Robles by 8th round TKO. Calloway landed a huge right which sent Robles down through the ropes near the end of the round. Robles was counted out at 3:05 of round eight. Calloway rose to (69-7-1, 55 KOs). Calloway now wants to fight WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan.

Calloway beat durable David Robinson (25-56-4, 13 KOs) by 2nd round TKO on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at the Viking Hotel Grand Ballroom in Saint Louis, Missouri. Robinson was downed three times by Calloway in round two when the referee had seen enough and called a halt to the bout. Calloway has now won thirteen fights in a row.

Calloway fought to a draw with Max Alexander (14-2-2, 2 KOs) over twelve rounds in a WBC Continental Americas cruiserweight title fight at Civic Arena in Saint Joseph, Missouri on Saturday, July 18, 2008. It was Calloway's 39th birthday.
