Reno Events Center

The Reno Events Center is a 7,500-seat multi-purpose located opposite of the National Bowling Stadium and within blocks of all the downtown casinos. Built in 2005, Circus Circus, Eldorado Hotel Casino, Harrah's and Silver Legacy casinos collaborate to bring live boxing events to the 56,000 square foot Reno Events Center. Agumenting the center is the new Reno Ballroom located across the street.

The first fight card held at the Reno Events Center and promoted by Dan Goossen was on Saturday, August 19, 2006 headlining Paul Williams vs Sharmba Mitchell in welterweight title fight aired live on HBO. It was a showcase fight for the highly touted prospect Williams who knocked down former light welterweight champion Sharmba Mitchell once in round three and three times in round four winning the bout by 4th round TKO. This victory for Williams' paved the way for his title shot against Antonio Margarito the following July.

Reno Events Center Parking:

Parking is provided free by Circus Circus or Fitzgeralds provides parking for a fee or free with validation from the casino. There also is limited parking in the National Bowling Stadium parking lot.
