Coachella's Randy Caballero defeated veteran Jose Luis Araiza (29-6-1, 20 KOs) by 10-round unanimous decision in a NABO bantamweight title fight on Friday, March 16, 2012 at Fantasy Springs in Indio, California. Scores were 98-92, 98-92 and 97-93. Caballero out boxed Araiza in the early rounds but from round six on Araiza let his hands go and came on stronger causing some problems for Caballero. It was not Caballero's best performance to date but he was fighting at a lower weight class than usual and it also was his first 10-round fight.

Randy Caballero.Randy Caballero of Coachella, California started boxing at age 8 racking up over 150 victories during his amateur career including the 2008 US National Championship. Too young to qualify for the 2008 Olympics, Caballero decided to turn pro at age 19.

Caballero fighting at super bantamweight made his pro debut on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California where he knocked out Gonzalo Nicolas (0-1-0, 0 KOs) of Moreno Valley, California at 0:49 of round one.

On Saturday, May 8, 2010 at the Palm Springs Stadium in Palm Springs, California in his second pro fight Caballero knocked out Edwin Rosado (1-6-1, 1 KOs) at 0:43 of round one in a scheduled 4-round featherweight fight.

In his third pro fight on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Commerce Casino in Commerce, California, Caballero continued his knockout streak by knocking out Travis Bedwell (0-3-0, 0 KOs) at 0:56 of round one in a super bantamweight fight.

On Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario, California on an ESPN2 fight card Caballero's next opponent Jairo Delgado (3-8-0, 3 KOs) of Denver, Colorado suffered the same fate being knocked out at 2:00 minutes of round one in a super bantamweight bout.

Caballero was finally forced to go the distance winning by 4-round unanimous decision over Missael Nunez (4-10-2, 0 KOs) on Friday, October 15, 2010 at the Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California. In a shutout scores were 40-36, 40-36 and 40-36 all for Caballero.

Fighting for the first time at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday, December 11, 2010 on the undercard of Amir Khan vs Marcos Maidana, Caballero beat Robert Guillen (5-9-3, 1 KOs) by 4-round unanimous decision. Scores were 40-35, 40-35 and 40-35.

Caballero beat Manuel Ortega (1-4-0, 0 KOs) of Seattle, Washington by 4-round unanimous decision in an all action fight on Friday, January 14, 2011 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. Scores were 40-35, 40-35 and 40-35. Ortega was down in round two from a right hook.

Caballero defeated Hugo Ramos (3-8-2, 1 KOs) of Palm Springs by 6-round unanimous decision in a junior featherweight bout at Fantasy Springs Event Center in Indio, California on Friday, March 4, 2011. Despite being friends with Ramos outside the ring and having had sparred together numerous times in the past Caballero did not hold back scoring a shutout of 60-54. Round after round Caballero hit Ramos with thudding right hooks to the body which took their toll on the fighter. Ramos has now lost three fights in a row while Caballero remains undefeated.

Randy Caballero defeated Puerto Rican Felix Perez (7-3-0, 3 KOs) by 2nd round KO in a super bantamweight bout on Telefutura's Solo Boxeo fight card at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino on Friday, April 1, 2011. There was no feeling out process both fighters starting trading heavy at close range from the opening bell. Perez, who was making his United States debut was down at the end of round one from a right. Near the end of round two Caballero landed a combination of punches on Perez's head. Perez covering his face and ears with his gloves curls up and turns his back to Caballero and starts running to the ropes. Caballero follows still throwing punches as Perez hangs headfirst through the ropes prompting the referee to stop the fight.

Caballero knocked out Dominican Francis Ruiz (9-5-0, 4 KOs) at 0:38 of round six in a super bantamweight fight on Friday, May 6, 2011 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. Caballero rocked Ruiz with a left at the end of round one. The two fought in a phone booth in round two. Caballero hurt Ruiz twice in round five almost knocking him out. In round six Caballero sent Ruiz to his knees on the canvas prompting the referee to jump in and wave off the fight. Continuing on his winning streak Caballero defeated Sergio Cristobal (3-2-0, 0 KOs) by TKO at 2:06 of round four on Friday, June 3, 2011 on Golden Boy's TeleFutura Solo Boxeo Tecate fight card at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. A short right to the body put Cristobal on the canvas in round one. A left to the head shocked Cristobal in round three. After a right hand to the head in round four sent Cristobal to the canvas for a second time prompting his corner to wave off the fight. Caballero won his first title, the WBC Youth Intercontinental super bantamweight title beating previously undefeated Alexis Santiago (8-1-1, 2 KOs) of Phoenix, Arizona by 8-round unanimous decision in front of a sellout crowd on Friday, July 1, 2011 at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, California. Scores were 80-72, 80-72 and 79-73. It was a much more competitive fight than the judges score cards revealed. Both fighters came to win, each wanting to take home the vacant title. There was no slacking off, the two fought in close, trading wildly round after round in a very intense fight culminating with Caballero taking home the well earned belt. Caballero successfully made his first WBC Youth Intercontinental super bantamweight title defense defeating Arturo "Sonic" Santiago (7-4-1, 4 KOs) of Puerto Rico by 8-round unanimous decision at Fantasy Springs Casino in Indio, California on Friday, December 2, 2011. Scores were 80-70, 80-70 and 80-70. Unable to match Caballero in boxing skills Santiago resorted to using dirty fighting techniques during the course of the fight in an attempt to gain an advantage but instead ended up losing 2 points for them.
