Oscar Larios lost his WBC Featherweight Title to Takahiro Aoh (17-1-1, 8 KOs) by 12-round unanimous decision in a rematch on Thursday, March 12, 2009 at the Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan. Scores were 107-119, 109-118 and 111-116. Larios is still medically suspended in the United States after suffering a subdural hematoma on July 21, 2007 in his fight with Jorge Linares.

Oscar "Chololo" Larios
Oscar Larios was WBC super bantamweight champion from 2002 to 2005 when he lost to Israel Vazquez on December 03, 2005 by a 3rd round TKO. Larios recently moved up two weight divisions, from 122 lbs to 130 lbs. On July 02, 2006 in the Philippines Manny Pacquiao beat Oscar Larios by a 12 round unanimous decision. Although Larios was defeated he looked big and strong as a super featherweight. On October 06, 2006 at the Desert Diamond Casino in Tucson, Arizona Larios dominated and beat Roberto "Chucky" Bonilla by a 4th round TKO.
Larios vs Linares
Larios lost his WBC featherweight interim title fight against Jorge Linares by a 10th round TKO on July 21, 2007 on the undercard of the Hopkins-Wright fight. Larios suffered a subdural hematoma during that bout and is currently under indefinite medical suspension in the US due to his brain bleed.
Prior to his loss to Jorge Linares, Larios in his comeback bid to win another featherweight world title after losing to Manny Pacquiao had outgunned Roberto Bonilla (22-9-0, 13 KO), Ramon Mendez (1-10-0, 1 KO) and Luis Cid (6-4-0, 6 KO).
Unable to fight in the United States, on Friday, February 22, 2008 at Salon Marbet Plus in Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl, Mexico, Larios fought and beat Arturo Gomez by a 12-round unanimous decision winning the vacant WBC Latino super featherweight title.
On Saturday, May 31, 2008 at the Centro Internacional de Convenciones in Chetumal, Mexico, Larios beat Feider Viloria by 5th round TKO in a WBC featherweight interim title fight. Larios got the fight when Jorge Linares, the current WBC featherweight champion injuried his shoulder during training and could not defend his title. Larios is hoping this win gets him a rematch with Linares.
Larios beat formerly undefeated southpaw Takahiro Aoh (16-1-1, 8 KOs) by 12-round split decision on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at the Yoyogi First Gym in Tokyo, Japan. The judge's scores were 115-111 and 114-112 for Larios and 114-112 for Aoh. In addition to his victory Larios won the WBC Featherweight Title. Larios has held the interim version since May 2008.
