Mike Arnaoutis (19-2-2, 9 KOs) successfully made his first USBA Junior Welterweight title defense in front of a crowd of Greek supporters at Bally's in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Friday, May 9, 2008. Arnaoutis used his southpaw jab and legs to outbox challenger Lanardo Tyner (19-1-0, 11 KOs) handing him his first professional loss by scores of 116-112, 118-110 and 118-110. Arnaoutis, the Pride of Greece has now rebounded with two straight wins after suffering back-to-back loses to Ricardo Torres and Kendall Holt.

Mike Arnaoutis is one of the few Greek boxers in the US. Arnaoutis hails from Athens, Greece and now fights out of Atlantic City, New Jersey. Arnaoutis is managed by Gina Iacovou and Mike Michael of Cestus Management and recently signed on with Joe DeGuardia's Star Boxing.

Ringside Las Vegas: On November 18, 2006, Mike Arnaoutis lost a 12-round split decision to Ricardo Torres at the Thomas and Mack Center in Las Vegas. The previously unbeaten Arnaoutis was fighting for the vacant WBO light welterweight title on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao vs Erik Morales III. Arnaoutis dropped Torres in the 7th round but didn't have time to finish him off. He had him hurt again in the 12th round. The judges scores came in 116-111 Torres, 114-113 Torres and 114-113 Arnaoutis. I had Arnaoutis winning the fight as did press row.

On Friday, April 20, 2007 at Bally's Atlantic City Arnaoutis lost a lopsided 12-round unanimous decision to Kendall Holt. Arnaoutis pawed with his jabs, didn't engage and never let his hands go. Holt floored Arnaoutis in round twelve.

Fighting for the vacant USBA Junior Welterweight title Mighty Mike" fought and beat Dominican Harrison Cuello by a 12-round unanimous decision on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at the Grand Ballroom in New York City. Cuello, a former kickboxer was coming off a win over Edgar Santana who had not lost a fight in five years.
