Laila Ali Tickets

Female boxer Laila Ali scored her 21st knockout at 56 seconds into round one during her fight with Gwendolyn O'Neil on February 3, 2007 in South Africa. Ali retaining her WBC Female and Womens International Boxing Association super middleweight titles in addition to her International Womens Boxing Federation title which wasn't at stake. Laila Ali announced it would probably be her last fight for awhile.

Laila Ali is one of the Daughters of Living Legends (DOLLs). She's the youngest daughter of former world heavyweight champion Muhammad Ali. Laila made her professional debut in 1999 knocking out opponent April Fowler in the first round. Fowler was a waitress with one fight under her belt that she also lost by 1st round KO.

In 2001 Laila Ali fought Jacqui Frazier, daughter of Joe Frazier. It was the first womens boxing match shown on pay per view. The fight which was called Ali vs Frazier IV in inference to their father's famous trilogy. Laila Ali won by 8th round majority decision.

Laila fought well known woman boxer Christy Martin in 2003. Laila won by a 4th round KO. Ali, 5'10" had a height and reach advantage over 5'4" Christy Martin who couldn't get inside to land combinations that would have slowed Laila down.

On November 11, 2006 Ali scored a 4th round TKO over Shelley Burton at Madison Square Garden in New York winning the Womens IBA and WBC super middleweight titles. Laila Ali's debut at Madison Square Garden came 35 years after her father, Muhammad Ali lost to Joe Frazier at the Garden.

Laila Ali published a no-nonsense book in 2003 called Reach! about her difficult childhood, arrests, stints in jail and other issues she went through and overcame on her way to becoming a world champion. She also stars in two exercise DVDs.
