On Friday, November 8, 2008 at York Hall in London Witter beat Argentine Victor Hugo Castro (29-5-0, 12 KOs) by 3rd KO. It was Witter's first fight since he lost his WBC light welterweight title in an upset to Califorian Timothy Bradley (21-0-0, 11 KOs) by a 12-round split decision on Saturday, May 10, 2008 at Nottingham Arena in the UK. In that bout the scores were 115-112, 113-114 and 113-115. An over hand right by Bradley sent Witter crashing to the canvas in round 6. It was one of 34 year old Witter's worst performances since losing to Zab Judah in 2000.
