Joshua Clottey lost by 12-round unanimous decision to WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2, 38 KOs) on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Scores were 120-108, 119-109 and 119-109 all for Pacquiao. Clottey shelled up and refused to let his guard down. He never let his hands go. Why? Because Pacquiao was too fast. Clottey knew if he did that he would get knocked out. Clottey admitted for the first time after a fight that he actually lost. Pacquiao-Clottey came about after negotiations between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr fell apart over blood testing issues.
