Grand Sierra Resort

Grand Sierra Resort is located approximately two miles east of Downtown Reno, Nevada. Its Grand Theatre has a seating capacity of 1,800 and is known as the world's biggest indoor stage with over a full acre of usable space. The property has changed hands numerous times since it opened in 1978. It was also known as the MGM Grand Reno, Bally's Reno and Reno Hilton. In its last sale in June 2005 the name was changed to the Grand Sierra Resort.

The first fight card hosted by the Grand Sierra Resort was on September 21, 2007. It was promoted by Joey Gilbert of Joey Gilbert Companies and Greg Gulli of GG Promotions. Since then Terry and Tommy Lane of Let's Get It On Promotions have promoted several fight cards at the Grand Sierra in conjunction with Joe DeGuardia of Star Boxing which was televised live on ESPN2. Additionally, the Grand Sierra has played host to several Ultimate Reno Combat mixed martial arts fight cards put on by Rick Collup of the Reno Academy of Combat. »

The first fight card actually held on the property was in 1983 when it was the MGM Grand. From 1983 to 2004 about twenty boxing shows took place on the property promoted by various boxing promoters including Bob Arum of Top Rank, Cedrick Kushner of Gotham Boxing Promotions and Greg Gulli of GG Promotions.
