Glen Johnson Tickets

Glen Johnson lost by 12-round unanimous decision to undefeated Lucian Bute (30-0-0, 24 KOs) in an IBF super middleweight title fight on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the Pepsi Coliseum in Quebec City, Canada. Scores were 109-119, 108-120 and 108-120 with Bute retaining his title. Johnson for whatever reason, cronological age, ring age or coming down in weight again to fight in a lower weight class looked old tonight. He just couldn't seem to get his punches off, couldn't find his range. Although he is a hard puncher and has a dangerous right hand he just couldn't pull the trigger. Post fight Johnson said that his right arm swelled up in the fourth round and that he basically fought one handed.

(51-16-2, 35 KOs)

On Saturday, April 12, 2008 at the Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida, Glen Johnson pressed the action for 12-rounds, rocked Dawson in rounds three and ten and outworked the younger man in rounds eleven and twelve yet Johnson lost the bout when it went to the scorecards. If you saw Johnson's face after the fight he doesn't have a mark yet Dawson was all swelled up post fight. That's because Johnson sets his punches when he hits you. Johnson has power.
