(39-0-0, 25 KOs)

Floyd Mayweather Jr in his welterweight debut knocked out Sharmba Mitchell in the 6th round on November 19, 2005 with a straight right hand that landed below Mitchells rib cage. On April 8, 2006 Mayweather Jr beat Zab Judah by UD at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas at a fight almost ended in a riot. In the 10th round Judah hit Mayweather with a low blow followed by an illegal rabbit punch to the back of Mayweather's head. Referee Richard Steele called a time out and sent both fighters to their neutral corners. This prompted Mayweather's trainer Roger Mayweather to enter the ring and go after Judah. A riot erupted, security intervened and stopped the melee allowing the fight to continue.

The Nevada Athletic Commission revoked Roger Mayweather's license and fined him $200,000. Mayweather Jr received his $5 million purse after fight tapes showed he stayed in a neutral corner throughout the brawl. Zab Judah was fined $250,000 for his illegal blow and for joining the fracas plus his license was revoked. Yoel Judah, Zabs father and trainer was fined $100,000 for being the second person to illegally enter the ring and for hitting Roger Mayweather.

Ringside Las Vegas: On November 4, 2006 at Mandalay Bay in Los Vegas, Floyd Mayweather Jr won a 12 round unanimous decision over Carlos Manuel Baldomir and his welterweight title. Mayweather boxed defensively staying on the outside and avoided mixing it up with the heavy handed Carlos Baldomir. Not going for a knockout Mayweather did only what he needed to do to win the decision. Fans unimpressed by Mayweathers timid fighting style and tired of watching Mayweather running away from Baldomir round after round booed him and left the fight early.

Mayweather loving the bright lights, publicity and money signed to fight the 7 foot, 441 pound WWE star Paul "The Big Show" Wight for $20 million at WWE Wrestlemania 24. In the kayfabe physical confrontation on Sunday, March 30, 2008 at the Florida Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, Mayweather defeated Big Show with kick below the belt, cracking a chair over his head three times and a big right to the jaw with brass knuckles on.
