Emmanuel Nwodo vs Darnell Wilson

"Ding-A Ling Man" rang Emmanuel Nwodo's bell at 2:00 of the 11th round on June 29, 2007 at St George Theater in Staten Island, New York knocking him out with a massive left hook thrown with 200 pounds of cruiserweight behind it. It was a devastating knockout buckling Nwodo's legs underneath him as he fell unconscious to the canvas. Ringside commentators declared it the greatest knockout they had ever seen in the 10 year history of ESPN's Friday Night Fights. Capturing Nwodo's USBA cruiserweight title with the KO victory "Ding-A Ling Man" has made an impressive come back winning his last four fights in a row by knockout after having a four fight losing streak in 2005-2006. Wilson won the 2007 "Friday Night Fights" Fighter of the Year and Knockout of the Year awards after his fight with Nwodo.

On ESPN's Friday Night Fights at Dover Downs Casino on February 7, 2008, Wilson lost a 12-round unanimous decision to BJ Flores in an upset. Flores who is taller with a long jab outboxed the Ding-A Ling Man keeping him on the outside unable to land his big knockout punch. Wilson also lost his USBA cruiserweight title in the bout.

Wilson lost a loopsided 12-round unanimous decision (111-117, 111-117, 111-117) to WBA cruiserweight champion Firat Arslan (29-3-1, 18 KOs) in Stuttgart, Germany on May 3, 2008. It was Arslan's first defense of the WBA title he won from former cruiserweight champion Virgil Hill on November 11, 2007 in Sachsen, Germany. Wilson threw big winging punches looking for a knockout but couldn't break through Arslan's defense.
