Bernabe Concepcion defeated Aaron Garcia (10-3-2, 2 KOs) by 10-round split decision in a highly competitive and entertaining fight on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at the San Manuel Casino in Highland, California. Scores were 96-94, 96-94 and 93-97. In addition to his victory Concepcion also won the vacant WBC Continental Americas featherweight title. Concepcion vs Garcia headlined the fightcard promoted by Manny Pacquiao's MP Promotions and Top Rank. Filipino fighters Rodel Mayol and Richie Mepranum also appeared on the card each winning their bouts. Fighting on the Margarito vs Cotto undercard Bernabe Concepcion beat Adam Carrera (19-4-0, 8 KOs) by 3rd round TKO on Saturday, July 26, 2008 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Moments after taking a knee in round three Carrera was down again from a right uppercut prompting referee Joe Cortez to stop the fight.

Bernabe Concepcion beat Mexican Giovanni Caro (11-5-4, 9 KOs) by 8th round KO on Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Sycuan Resort & Casino in El Cajon, California. Caro was down in round two and given time to recover from an alleged low blow (which was actually far north to the diaphragm) in round eight before Concepcion KOd him with a brutal combination.
On Saturday, May 2, 2009 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Concepcion defeated Yogli Herrera (22-8-0, 15 KOs) by 6th round unanimous decision. Scores were 60-54, 60-54 and 60-54. The fight took place on the undercard of Pacquiao vs Hatton. It was Herrera's fifth straight loss in a row. Concepcion was coming off a 5th round win by technical decision over Sande Otieno (16-2-0, 7 KOs) on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Philippines.

Concepcion hit Luevano after the bell at the end of round seven. On May 6, 2011 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Nevada, Concepcion lost by 8-round split decision to Juan Carlos Martinez (19-12-1, 7 KOs) in a featherweight fight on ESPN Friday Night Fights. Scores were 77-75, 75-77 and 74-78. Concepcion came on too late. It wasn't until the end of round six that his right hand repeatedly found home on Martinez's head. Unfortunately for Concepcion, Martinez came out aggressive in the early rounds racking up points as he outworked Concepcion.
