Scores were 98-92, 98-92 and 98-92. Tarver hopes this victory will lead to a major fight because his goal is to become the fourth light heavyweight champion in boxing history to win a heavyweight title. Skepticism abounds. Tarver had not fought since losing to Chad Dawson in a light heavyweight bout on May 9, 2009. Aguilera whom Tarver referred to as a trial horse has now lost three out of his last four fights this year.
